Night Glow

Description

Again, here is another shot of one of my Night Blooming Cereus, just a different view and lighting. I again used a flashlight for the lighting, and black piece of cloth for the backdrop, and again, had to hold the camera in one hand and the flashlight in another. I do not own a tripod, I don't think I could handle using a tripod because I move around too much and I love to have my camera in hand. I shot this with my Sony Mavica FD200 on the Macro setting. I cannot get enough of these flowers. There are never two alike, and if I could bottle the fragrance that comes from these flowers, I would be one wealthy woman, they are breathtaking. I had 4 of them bloom at the very same time last night, and as soon as I opened my front door to see how far the blooming process had gotten, the scent from all 4 flowers just filled the air, was unexplanable and love it. ENJOY!

Lovely shot and I can almost smell it! I wonder if the smell is similar to the flowers that bloom outside my house in the summer. I think they are called moon flowers....they are fairly large and the smell is intoxicating just as you described your flowers. Anyway...great job with such limited resources....you rock! #5205569

Thank you all so very much, very sweet compliments.
Aimee, it sounds like we are talking about the same flowers. This Cereus is about the size or a cabbage ball, larger than the size of a mans fist sort of speak, and yes, the scent is intoxicating, its a smell you will never forget. If you look into my gallery, you will see one that I entered a couple of days ago, but in full bloom. I could shoot these flowers every night if I could. So glad you all enjoyed my photo. THANKS!
