Karma,
I like this photo.
The flare you described is barely discernable and does add to the overall feel of the shot.
I like the strong silouhettes for the sense of depth they imply.

The only thing I would have done differently, if I could, is to position myself so that the tree on the right was a little farther toward the edge of the frame.

You're right Bob, and I tried, but all these scraggly distracting little trees were in the way! I had to crop to get rid of one as it was. So I compromised with this. Thanks for your valuable feedback!
