I love this photo. It is so interesting, new and strong! I have a question, I noticed your photos are taken from a short distance, I do not have a macro lens, and I have been thinking about getting one, since I also make jewelry and I would like to take photos. I have a cannon rebel, and I was wondering if just a basic macro would take photos like yours (well, also a lot of talent, but I am trying to work on that part!).

G'day Teresa,

What a "crushingly" effective photograph!
You get all my points for originality as there is no way I would ever have thought of combining these two elements to produce a still life.
Beautifully lit and exposed, with a good contrast and reflection.
Arranged very well and made with a good depth of field right through the subject, a nice sharp focus and lovely natural toning.
Very good work that girl and most deserving of the EP and I hope much more!
