I like the composition on this shot a lot. The bird's eye is pretty close to that upper left powerpoint.

I think it would pop out more if the background was darker. In the future, you could achieve this by using a "fill flash" to brighten the bird. This would darken the background and increase your potential shutter speed so that the motion of the bird would be stopped.

Hi Scott... I agree with Pam you comp is wonderful on this... and do believe you are limited in clarity and motion by your camera... really is a great take hun just would have better clarity :) #719322

I like this composition and the angle of the bird's head.
I'm guessing that this macaw had much more vibrant, rich colors than you were able to reproduce,...given the limitations of your camera and lens.
Don't be afraid to use editing software to punch up your colors, add contrast and clarity, or anything else that will get you closer to what you actually experienced. #719415
