Whimsical Birdhouses

Uploaded: October 30, 2007

Description

F5.2, 1/250, ISO 250, 39mm, taken at the Heritage Museum in Largo FL. These were in a booth at the craft show. I loved the colors and shapes. The white BG is the color of the booth. Slight dreamy effect applied.

Carol, these are gorgeous!!
Love the whimsical shape of the middle one, and all of them have such lovely details on them. The white background shows them off so well ~ great find and capture!

Beautiful capture with great colors, Carol! I think this image would also work well in a narrow pano format to put even more emphasis on the houses by removing some of the white space on top.

Mary, Jennifer, Evy, Paul, Pat, Tiia, Laurence, Sherry, R&A, Dominick and Donald, thank you all so much for your kind comments!

Mike, you know, I did this thinking of the neg space thing that Kara Hendricks likes so much, but I think your idea is a great one. I need to go out while the light is right and shoot a pumpkin patch, but maybe I will remove this and redo when I get back. Thank you for your kind comment and suggestion!

Mike, I want to thank you again for your suggestion. I don't know about everyone else, but sometimes I get an idea of how I want a photo to look, and then I don't think beyond that. I had the negative space thing in my mind (although that is usally done to the right or left of an image) and I just never even thought about a pano. So, it is nice to get feedback and ideas from others. It's all the BP members that taught me so much in the beginning!

Mike, R.M.J., Dr. S., Jennifer, Chris & David, thank you all so much for your kind comments, and thank you Jennifer and Mike for taking a 2nd look! :) #5007003
