This picture looks really washed out compared to the file on my computer.... I'm going to try attaching a .tif version to see if that's better.Pam #156772

Hi Pam... Pam on my computer it does not look washed out on either versions hun... not sure if maybe it's your settings on you computer that could be making it look that way to you... both clarity and color is wonderful and the comp is excellent... :) #703438Pamela K August 12, 2004
Thanks, Jill.I'm glad it doesn't look washed out to you. The problem I'm having, especially with photographs with a lot of green, is that the file on my computer, when viewed in Photoshop, looks a lot more colorful than the picture when viewed on the website.... This is looking at them side-by-side on the same screen and looking at the same exact file that I uploaded to the site....
I'm glad you like it. Thanks again for your comments.

welll then it sounds like it's how you have things set in PS hun... there are ways to correct that and wish I was good at explaining that but I suck...lolPamela K August 12, 2004
Thanks, that's a good idea.Pam #703559

Pam,I had this exact problem using PS Elements, which is the main reason I didn't buy the full version! Maybe the settings could be fixed, but I didn't know how. Since using GIMP and Picture It only I don't have the problem. The colors in PS seem to oversaturate...and that was the only program it showed up in so I would never know if I should saturate a little more or pull back a bit. AHHH!!!
I hope somebody can explain on how to fix the settings. This is a great picture, very cute! And my husband Scott said thanks for commenting on his deer pic too. #706711

Thanks, Karma (and Scott).I tried viewing the photo in the three programs I have on my computer: Photoshop, iPhoto, and Preview. All three (viewing the same jpeg that I uploaded) look fully saturated, but the shot on the website looks washed out to me. This seems to be most common with green. I compared all 4 of these pictures (supposedly all the same jpeg) side-by-side on the same screen. I think it must be something to do with my computer being a Mac and web formatting being different. I wish I knew how to reset my settings so this wouldn't happen, but I haven't figured it out yet. We're discussing this same problem on a Q&A thread titled "Clarity of Photo."
Anyway, thanks for your nice comments. Maybe I'll figure it out soon.

Wonderful photo, Pam!!! They are cute when they are little. The Tiff photo is lighter on my monitor than the upper photo. #904431Pamela K November 11, 2004
Thank you, Sharon! On my monitor they look the same, but both are lighter than my original. If the Tiff is lighter than the JPEG that means it's going opposite of what you would think! Strange!Pam #904579
