Please tell me you weren't in a tree when you shot this! Beautiful!! #16827

Robert Pranagal October 08, 2002

Thanks Carolyn,

Had I been on a tree, I would have probably fallen down all cold and numb before I captured this shot.
I waited for ages for the right figure to show up in the frame.
Unfortunately the only people were teenagers returning from school...
I was waiting for an old lady or grandpa, but this little fella on a bright bike works fine too (IMHO, of course!). Couldn't wait any longer because my wife was yelling from the kitchen that the lunch was ready.

I took this shot from the balcony in my apartment. The blocks of flats were built in the 60-ties and oads of trees were planted between them, so now it looks like a park.

I am determined to get that "old grandma with a dog" shot one day...

Thanks again! #16834

I think this shot is great Robert. The grandma with a dog might have been cool, too, but with the cyclist, the wheels match the trees giving the picture that extra togetherness. Nice job!

Yes, this month was particularly good for me. I placed a couple of finalist images and this second place one.
Definitely feel better now, since last month was a total disaster....

Thanks again, girls! #23279
