PEACE OUT

Description

I swear, my son Cole was the coolest kid I ever knew. He wasn't the best player on the team but Cole was the kid everyone wanted on their side. He played by the rules and didn't understand why some kids cheated to win. Last Halloween he wore this Punk Pirate costume with his hair in a red mohawk. He liked it so much he used to get up early so he could wear it to school that way. This will be our first Halloween without Cole and as another 13th passes us by, our hearts are still aching. We miss him terribly but will be hitting the streets hard and having a blast in his honor this year.

!!!HAPPY HALLOWEEN COLEY!!!

What a cutie he was and will always be!
So are you guys gonna sport red mohawks for him this year? #4922385

Marta J. Baldwin October 14, 2007

Thank you so much Cliff, Crystal and Brenda. I truly appreciate your words of support. I think sporting Cole's hairdoo is a great idea! My husband already has a mohawk in Coley's honor...I'm sure it wouldn't take too much convincing for him to paint it red for halloween. #4922629

Vicki...We go to the downtown Edmonds Trick-or-Treat bonanza every year. It starts at 5pm and usually takes a couple hours to make it around to all the local shops. Give me a call and we can hook up! #4929019

Thank you very much Patti and Angela. I really appreciate your wonderful comments. Unfortunately my husband decided to shave his head as he has taken a job in Eastern Washington where it is 75F. But I will be posting a family photo soon that has him with his mohawk. #4929645

Oh Marta....As I sit here with huge crocadile tears in my eyes, my heart aches for you and yet at the same time how wonderful it is to know you 'celebrate' his life and the time he was with you! I send you a huge cyber hug from Sara and I in Alabama....

What a fun and wonderfully created image of Cole! I have been thinking a lot of you and your family of late...

Blessings my dear 'adopted' daughter! ;) #4929780

Oh D...You just don't know how much your kind words mean to me! I too have tears in my eyes but can't help but smile whenever I see my beautiful boy in the images I have of him. Cole was such a wonderful part of our family and it's so hard to have him gone. I can only go on from here and find happiness and joy in life for that's what he would want and what I want for myself. I'll take that big hug and send one right back to you and your beautiful daughter. I am so honored to be a part of your family!!!
Love to you...Marta #4929921

WOW! As a mom to four (my oldest is 14) this just hits home for me. We have had our own struggles - my oldest was born with a heart defect that required open-heart surgery when he was just an infant...my second son has autism....and various other things that pale by comparison...

and my own brother died young....

my heart goes out to you...and I so wish I would have had the chance to have been graced by your 'Coley's' presence....

sounds like he was an awesome kid.

[hugs]
