My Daughter's Shoe [Artistic Balance in Photography]

My 25 year old daughter's baby shoe sits on top of the homemade, knitted blanket she was bundled in at her christening. I wanted this to look nostalgic, so did a high contrast B/W in my camera settings. Then, in PS, adjusted the color balance until I got a nice sepia toned effect. Set at a f/5.6 for a shallower DOF. Natural lighting. My daughter is going to have another baby in February, so I am thinking I am going to frame this so she can hang it in the new baby's bedroom. I think she will like that.
