Pink on Purple

Uploaded: June 25, 2004

This is a male Pink-Edged Sulphur butterfly enjoying the sweet nectar of one of my friend Robin's many flowers. When I snapped the photograph, I did not notice the pink outline of his wings, but it shows clearly in this macro shot. Early afternoon, full sun, handheld, auto settings, Canon 100mm macro lens

Thanks, Diane! I'm so happy he was a helpful model, posing for more than a nanosecond while I prepared to shoot! Thanks again!
