Description

Taken with the Canon macro EF 100 mm 1:2.8 USM lens on a Manfrotto 3021 tripod with a 3047 head. Also attached to the 20D was an Off Camera Shoe Cord2 and Canon's 420EX Speedlite. The dew is natural on the flower.

I like to capture directional light in open shade. The Flash adds life and sparkle to the flowers, and light direction when the light is flat, as it was on this day.

Thank you, Donna. The lighting was perfect that day, and since the flower was taken near a friend's patio, I took my heavy tripod, which allowed for zero vibration and maximum sharpness. It paid off. #9767435
