Claudio, I just purchased the new Nikon D100. That was the camera I used. The lens used was a Nikon 300mm f/4 ed with shutter speed 1/250 @ f11. I was in a boat on a calm day and the egret allowed me get in rather close. It's an egret from what I've been told and hangs out on the corner of an island in the Detroit River.
