Beautiful composition Don.
I have been taking pictures of a similar bird (I´m not sure if it´s an egret or a heron) and I really like the subject. What was your set up (camera/lens/exposure) for this picture? #14557

Claudio, I just purchased the new Nikon D100. That was the camera I used. The lens used was a Nikon 300mm f/4 ed with shutter speed 1/250 @ f11. I was in a boat on a calm day and the egret allowed me get in rather close. It's an egret from what I've been told and hangs out on the corner of an island in the Detroit River. I hope this helps and thanks for viewing my photo. Don #14578
