I discovered today that it is a female and the males er blue-- hae no idea how the wing got damaged, but the draagon died yesterday. I think of sexual exhaustion from what I witnessed to day. The females of this species are ganged by the males and have a pretty rough time of it. I saw three males trying to take down one felmale and she scarcely lays the eggs in the water when the next male attacks--and sometimes before she even has a chance to deposit the eggs.
