Thank you Margie,Joan,Stephanie,Cary,Autum, and Teresa.. your kind words are much appreciated!!! Horatio is doing quite well learning about how to be a big duck someday...I take him out each day and he has learned to hunt bugs in my yard already...he is as brave a little hunter of bugs as he is about everything that life has put before him. Thanks for your well wishes for him. #4290157

I'm writing this for anyone that might stop to read the comments here and wants to know what became of this little duck...little Horaito turned out to be a girl...she answers to her name so it couldn't be changed but I rather like it that her name is so different anyway. She is a healthy beautiful full grown duck now and she merged in with the wild population of ducks quite well...she has raised four broods of babies of her own to date and always seeming to love her job as a mama...also some of her offspring have grown and also had babies of their own so she is a grandma now too!
There is another photo in my gallery showing a mother duck with a baby, that is one of Horatio's fullgrown daughters with her own babies (which are Horatio's grandbabies). Photo title- "Will I be as big as you Mama?" #6988875
