Thanks Piper and Mary. I just loved the colors of those gondolas. Mary, your photo brings back memories of going to the L.A. County Fair at the Pomona Fairgrounds. I miss that now that I'm in Texas, but we do have the State Fair coming up here in Dallas! And Piper, I don't know about this being a winner. Though you of all people would likely know the secret to a BetterPhoto-winning shot. ;-) #11572

I think the secret to winning is to continually take "unique" photos. Approach a subject from a new perspective, get on your knees, get above it, use an unusual filter. But I have no idea how they assess "winners", nor who the judges are. It's fun to enter though, isn't it? #11577
