Description

The Dalai Lama, Spiritual leader of Tibet in exile, visited out city this week. I had the great fortune of being in the right place at the right time and, and he, unexpectedly, jogged (literally) over to our small group and shook each of our hands - felt more like a blessing. Got this photo right after that experience.

I was a little shy about saying how much this experience meant to me - it was definitely a profound experience. Just being His Holiness' presence has a grounding, calming feeling, and to feel the warmth and strength of his greeting was something I never thought I would experience in this lifetime. I've studied with a few Tibetan Rinpoches, and always walk away just amazed at their genuine compassion and extraordinary sense of peace. #4271914
