Description

I call this old place the 'addams house' after my favorite family ;o) Years ago i wanted to buy it when i came up for sale but common sense prevailed...someone bought it however, they removed all the beams and now it just sits...waiting ...*sigh* ...what a crime

Deferred maintenance for sure, but it still has character... #7390

Hi Lianne: Yes, this house has a lot of photographic character! Although it's been bought by someone, I wonder if it would be possible to approach it for some detail work. Again, a wonderful subject - and a great title, too! Kerry #11144

I think your senses kicked in just in time. I'll bet it would cost a gazzillion dollars to fix! I like old houses like this, they do have character. Nice image. #11145

What a sad and beautiful image! Can you imagine what a showplace this must have been? Makes you wish you could travel back in time and visit! Great capture here! #11153

There used to be a house like this in my life. You know at one time it was beautiful but then it was just left in neglect. Someone tried to fix the one I knew at one time and I was happy but they gave up and now it's gone.
Do try to get some close up shots if you can. I'm sure they would be interesting. #11155

SPOOKY!!!!!
Wonder who it would look, had it been enclaved in a dark cloudy background!!!

Very nice shot Lianne. #21418

update: oct 2002...the property is roped off a la construction zones...the porches have been removed...the landscape has been cleared save for nice trees and now it's very easy to see the large GORgeous victorian cupola'd weathered grey barn in the rear...but the best part is, there's a pile of lumber by the road!! i'm gonna be checkin' for renovation progress and maybe see if I can't find someone to give permission to take pics :o) #21872

That would be great! I've watched a local victorian be restored all fall, just amazing what a Lot of TLC will do! #21999
