For those of you who aren't aware, my husband is very sick and we are waiting on a date for his chemotherapy to commence.
You're all in my thoughts and I will drop in from to time to time to keep you updated about Roberts progress.

Ooooh...DDU...knowing the difficult time you're all going through makes this image so very special to me, my friend. As you said in your mail, the date was confusing...actually my Birthday was last Saturday...on the 7th of April. But even if you entered this outstanding image on any day of the year...I'd still be so pleased and honored.

Thank you so much everyone for your lovely comments and wonderful words of support during this dreadful time.

The latest news is that it has been confirmed that the cancer is incureable and they are not going to commence chemotherapy/ radiation unless it is of some benefit, which meant a new round of tests, scans and an open biopsy to determine if they can stop the growth of the three tumours and give Robert some quality of life.

I cry as I type this because it still seems unreal that this is happening to my darling husband. We have been together since I was 15 and he is my whole life and I don't accept that they can't assist him and try to reduce the mass, we get the final results later this week.

Please know that your emails and prayers/ words of support mean so much to me and our three daughters; as we need lots of positive thoughts at this time and that is what I am focussing on for the future.

I will keep you updated when time permits.

Hello everyone
Just wanted to say hi and thank each and every one of you for your kind thoughts and wonderful comments.
Thankfully, Robert is still alive but he has been very sick (in and out of hospital) and has become very thin.
Sadly, his cancer has spread and the largest of his tumours has grown to a size that is beyond comprehension (25cm x 17cm or approx 10 inches x 7 inches).
As a carer, it has been a very difficult (and tiring) time for me and the whole family and I do apologise for not keeping you all up to date - there are just not enough hours in the day.....
My love goes to you all, my kindest regards always

Hello everyone
It has been some time since I have managed to revisit this site and I am overwhelmed by the lovely messages of support on this image and the other images in my gallery. Thank you all so very much (and also for the personal messages I have been sent but haven't had a chance to reply to as time is so limited).
Robert is in the final stages of his disease - it has been 17 months of a hard fought battle but we are ready to let him go and for him to get some peace. The girls and I are coping as best we can, I am emotionally drained but we face each new challenge as it arrives.
I actually took some images yesterday - it has been about a year since I last took a photo and one day I hope to regain my enthusiasm for photography and come back into the fold of such wonderful friends.
Thank you again for your support and prayers....I shall stop by again soon.
