Spring Has Sprung

I know less is more, but I don't think these people got the memo. :) Taken during the Azelea Trails in Tyler, TX with 24-70mm lens, f/8,1/6 second, neutral density grad filter, tripod, and cable release. Also applied Dave's Dream Filter in PS.

Looks like a nature photographer's heaven, Cora, great job with the lighting and shadowing, and getting nice colors... must be the good use of nd grad filter.Darren K. Fisher April 21, 2004
Well, they sure gave you a great image. Excellent lighting and beautiful spring colors. The dreamy look works well here. Great job, Cora. #495866William C. Raco April 21, 2004

Thanks so much everyone. Your comments are certainly appreciated. Cathy, the filter is an action that you can run in PS. I'll email you the link. #496136Carol Engstrom April 21, 2004
This is really beautiful. The filter is perfect for this scene. #496182Blair W. Knox May 14, 2004
I am a little confused. What is Dave's Dream Filter in Paint Shop? I have not seen that. What am I missing in the lingo? ;)Cora Miller May 14, 2004
Blair, the dream filter is an action written for Photo Shop or Photo Shop Elements which automates several steps so you don't have to execute them individually. It just makes the process quicker. :) #540922Blair W. Knox May 17, 2004
Cora was nice enough to answer that very question for me the other day by email. Here is her answer:In response to your question about Dave's Dream Filter, it is an action written by Dave Jaseck for use in Photo Shop or Photo Shop Elements. Since it is written specifically for those programs I don't know if it would work with Paint Shop or not but here is the link if you want to check that out: http://www.geocities.com/rnlnero/PE2stuff2.html . The Dream action is found in the Jaseck's Collection in the right column about half way down the page.

Oh my it's like Heaven on earth. I am new to digital photography and need to learn about using different lenses to achieve certain results and obviously more about using Paint Shop Elements. Can you tell me more? This is the most beautiful photo ever, looks like a painting...Bet you could sell it a thousand times over!!! #640205Cora Miller July 10, 2004

Beautiful. I see alot of comments aboutCora Miller June 24, 2005
Thank you Mary.To answer your question, if money is no object then the "best" would be Photoshop CS2, the newest version of Photoshop. However, if you're just starting out and PSCS2 is too expensive then I would suggest Photoshop Elements 3. It is a scaled down version of PSCS but you will find that it will probably do everything you need. If you have any other questions feel free to email me. #1517663
