I am overwhelmed! Thank you all very much!
There were so many other fantastic photos that I feel guilty to take this second place.
I am so glad I do not have to be a juror at BetterPhoto. ¡What a horrible job that must be!
The jurors deserve the credits for the hard and merciless job they have to fulfill.
We, well, we only have to take the photos. We try to capture beauty, or beast, by surprise, and every now and then we happen to succeed ...at least partially. That's when you look at your photo and you feel it in the guts, you know you got it right!
Not that it cannot be improved, but WYSIWYG, you know it is not just a nice photo, this one you can let go public. How nice? That's for others to decide, to analyze, to compare,to feel.
I, the photographer, already got my share... because nothing comes close to that feeling in the guts, when you know you caught a beautiful and perishable image with your camera (specially if nobody -but the instant- had to die for it).
