Suitable For Framing
Uploaded: February 22, 2007
Another composition in my antique store series....these frames were found
sitting in a back hallway, and I was able to shoot through a doorway to get this shot.
I applied several filters in Elements 5.0, including film grain, poster edges, and a
slight posterization. The saturation, contrast and shadow detail were also adjusted.

I like it a whole lot too. Like Les, I'd be interested to see it without the effects, too. Nice job! #3974586Datha Y. Thompson February 22, 2007

Thanks guys and gals!! Your comments are a big help and most appreciated! I played with this for quite a while... now I'm curious too, to go back and adj the original without any effects. Sometimes I jump into PS and go right by what I originally saw when I took the shot!! I'll post another image to 101 when I have time to get back to this. #3975632Cathy M. Gromball February 22, 2007

Your effects are terrific as is your composition, colors and lighting, Brian!! It would be interesting to see whether the image stands alone without filters. #3975977Brian Lobdell February 22, 2007
Thank you, Cathy and Melissa!! (Les and John also suggested an effects-free image, so I will be going back to see what I can come up with!! #3976589Bob Cournoyer February 22, 2007
