Quiet Harmony
Uploaded: February 21, 2007
Aperture F3.1, shutter 1.62 sec, Nikkor 7.1 to 21.4 mm lens, no flash. These are things I love: "dark" pictures, deep rich red/browns, sunlight and shadows, angles and lines. Taken early in the morning in my "dungeon" basement office as the first sun came in through a basement window, playing with shadows on my printer. There's just something about this photo that makes me quietly smile.

This one has me smiling too! Wonderful use of minimal lighting and shadows to create this beautiful work of art! #1197355Ray Thoms October 29, 2009

Thank you Ray and Ronald for your words of encouragement! I'm amazed at just how motivating a comment from someone else can be, and I appreciate it. #8086240Joanna Madloch November 28, 2009
This is probably one of the best works I have seen ever. I love the simplicity and melancholic mood. #8175749Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
