Jill,I love the beauty and uniqueness to your work. It's evident that you throw yourself into it, and as a result each piece is immersed in a characteristic personality that can only be describe as style, in the purest sense of the word. In the past five years of my photographic journey, this is something that I daresay has been neglected. While I do feel my skills have grown in technical consistency and competence, I often feel my work is artistically flat. This is not a self criticism, but just a measure of my position on the path of my photographic journey, and was necessary in order to proceed to the next crossroad. As the fascination wanes from technical experimentations, and I’m starting down the next path of applying what I have learned as a tool of my photography and no longer the sum of it. I’m finding I want more substance out of each image, and the emotions they provoke. It’s no longer a matter of how pretty something looks, but how the representation of it makes me feel while looking at it. As I strive to achieve this, and to put a bit more of myself into each image, I’m motivated and inspired by the works of those already at this level; works such as yours. It is constant reminder of the wonderful possibilities ahead as long as stay focused and I continue down the path. Thank you for the inspiration & congratulations on your win! #492578
