Description

There's something about the quality of the indirect light and the arches and columns to be found in Balboa Park's Spanish colonial architecture that I love. Placing people within this setting creates wonderful (and hopefully evocative) photo ops. ISO 200, 1/15, f9.5, tripod

Thanks ... I had lots of fun with this photo shoot, though my models (who bear a remarkable resemblance to my children, lol) were slightly less than enthusiastic. ;-) #430865

What a marvelous composition and sharp detail throughout this entire image, Mary-Ella. The symmetry and patterning you've captured in the structure are nicely offset by the human/emotional element! #431040

I've used a variation of this same pose for many years in my wedding photography. Taken inside a church with the Bride in front and the Groom in the rear - with smiles on their faces, of course - it can be a very moving photo. #457656

I liked too much the composition of this shot, very interesting, it added value to the very beatiful architeture. The light is perfect. About the models, I donĀ“t think they workout together in the same image ... If you placed just the boy in on frame and just the girl in other frame, placed in the very same position that they are in this frame, it would be great, but together ... very confusing. #457672

Charles D. had some good comment I thought. The lighting is very nice, shows off the building structure and texture nicely. It is hard for me to tell on the monitor, but it looks like the focus of the image is shifted too far in the distance. It seems like the models are slightly out of focus but the doors in the distance are sharper. I have the hardest time cotrolling depth of field with my digital camera. I can never see until I download the image. Again nice use of light. #459692
