A reworked/re-edited/recropped version of a photograph submitted in November 2002. Taken from the 10th-floor balcony of our hotel room on Maui, Hawaii.

I've been thinking about Hawaii a lot lately, wanting to go back. Maybe it's on the brain because on Wednesday is my 5th wedding anniversary and we were married on Maui. :-)

Barbara, so nice to hear from you! You go on some pretty neat vacations yourself! ... Now that we've moved back to high-cost California, we're cash-poor, so I fear no fabulous vacations for me for a long time to come! :-) #424802

Thank you, Paul, Susan, Gaby, Darren and Carol! :-) I had overworked this image initially. The shadows were very dark and contrasty. As I recall, I intentionally created it that way back then, but I now think the more subtle shadows work better. #425933
