Description

lost count of how many times I have re submitted this now! I have got rid of the extra flower that used to distract from the hoverfly this time! I still love this photo so I am trying once again!

Hi Rachel.... you get my vote! (if I was only a judge) Great detail and color - I can see why you keep trying with this! Good luck! #3785107

BTW:
It looks like the shorter side is sized to 420 pixels, it would be better if you resized it to 480. Also, maybe sharpen the head a bit more. Good luck!

P.S. Could you link to the original? #3785136

thanks Ariel and Brian

Ariel, I always have a nightmare uploading as none of my pics seem to come out as sharp once I have uploaded them. even the colours are look different from the original. I will try resizing the original to 480 on the short side and upload it here. (it will probably work now I have said that!)
i have tried the single uploader and the other one to but I aways have to oversharpen to get it to look ok... here goes!

At the bottom, I say how I get the sharpness in my pics. #3785558

BTW, I see you touched up the picture to remove part of the pink flower. You can download helicon filter and use it for 30 days with all the retouch brushes. It is quiet good, and I've found it much easier to use than Photoshop or Picture it!. #3785576

Ariel, I have downloaded Helicon filter ;o) takes a bit of getting use to, but it does seem better at sharpening photos than photoshopelement! thank you! #3790637
