Hi Damian: Yes, overcast days are perfect for zeroing in on details like this. In fact, I included this polarizer-instructional photo to show how a polarizer - in certain situations - can often remove reflections and beef up the colors on even overcast days! (Non-polarized version No. 1 looks just like this, except very muted - without the bright colors of the mural shown here.)Damian P. Gadal May 26, 2019
