Donna,

Thank you! I have worked on this one a long time. I took it on a cloudy day and the colors were great...except the skye was grey also. lol. I finaly turned it Sepia because I like this photo and had to find some way to save it. Thank you for taking your time to comment.

Hey Shawn, Here are three things I think would make this image more successful: straighten the barn to vertical, add some sharpening, and boost the saturation a little.

Shawn love this shot - I'm not sure you need a border tho I think you framed the photo well enough to do without. #3692777

Shawn M. Marymee December 11, 2006

Phil,

I was playing around with borders ect. and just put this together to see if I could. Maybe I need to take it off and summit the original.

Thank you for your help!

Shawn, I really love the sepia and your subject. Nice job. I like the border too, but I am sure it would look great w/o it also. I would try and straighten the barn a little and try Steve's suggestions to see what you think. #3723649

Carol,
Thank you! This is a labor of love. I can't figure out how to straighten the barn yet. Any suggestions? I have played with the saturation and when I get the barn straight I will summit it again.

Happy holidays all

Shawn, I think you should have some kind of straightening feature in either your camera software or whatever you use to correct photos. I did have several software programs on my hard drive and they all let you straighten, including PS7 and PSE3, but I found it so easy to use the straighten feature that came with my first P&S digital camera. It would let you adjust it in very small increments. There were no grid lines to assure it was completely straight, but I could tell by looking most all the time. Hope this helps! #3742371
