Keeping warm

Uploaded: December 05, 2006

Description

This capture was taken on 11/20/06 using Canon 20D at 1/160 sec, F/5 and 210mm with 1+ exposure and cloudy WB shot in Raw and increased temp to 9800. This cub was cuddled up next to it mother trying its best to keep warm in the cold temp -9 degrees and wind. The mother found this spot on the lee side of a snow bank and behind some willows. They just looked so cute together. I am considering using this as a Christmas card as it expresses the love of both mother and cub and the unique bond of togetherness

Just a little to cold for me! LOL! #3681359

Emile Abbott level-deluxe December 08, 2006

Thanks Melissa, Kaye and Linda. It was such an awesome adventure. Close living for 2 weeks, isolated, remote, windy, cold, and snowy but we had great bear visitation. They are usually happy to spot 3 bears a day we had 27 the first day and averaged about 15 different bears daily. Was very worth the trip (most were professional photographers) and highly recommended. #3681792
