1940's Glamour

Description

I wanted to try to do my hair and makeup like the old 1940's movie stars. I used PSCS2 for a diffuse glow, a black to white gradient map, and to do a duplicate layer of the background set to soft light to make the b&w more contrasting and dramatic.

Many thanks, Steve, Chastity and Stacy! I knew I wanted the 1940's look, of course, but I had no idea that particular shot would turn out so well with the lighting and angle. I'm actually standing in my bathroom - the light to the right is just the light over my bathroom sink - I've used it before because it gives such a nice soft glow. I had the camera set up on the tripod, angled down a little bit, so I'm actually half bent over, then turning my head back up to the camera! LOL! Not a traditional pose, really. Happy little 'accidents' seem to be my best captures! Thanks again, guys! #3680990
