I really, really love the lighting on this! Great contrast between the bird and background without losing detail in the white feathers. Nice gleam in the bird's eye too!

I might crop a little more off the top to get the birds eye out of the center of the photo, but it looks really neat!

Carol,

Thank you. I think it is better also. I would love to know what this bird is, but... I forgot to write it in my book at the zoo. I know it comes from a rain forest some where. LOL I have to go back to the zoo soon so will get it then.

Yep... Like the crop. It makes the bird more the focal point. Neat shot!

I think it's a Yellow-wattled Lapwing, but you might want to check. What throws me off is that its white patch covers the entire breast.... Also, the legs aren't yellow. Here's an ID site. Probably some sort of lapwing or plover, though.
