Black Maple 5

Uploaded: October 07, 2006

Description

This is a 300+ year old Black Maple. It has been hit by lightening and 2/3 of it was destroyed years ago in a ice storm but it still stands proudly at Dawes Arboretum in Newark, Ohio. As you walk up the hill toward it in the fall it looks as though the sky is on fire. It is one of God's amazing creations.
