Thanks Yvonne for the nice comment.

A macro that isn't blurry takes a little luck along with skill. The DOF is very narrow, as low as 1/32 an inch at f3.5 with my lens. Also the subject or the camera moves just a little bit there goes the focus. Any image bigger 1/4 to 1 I use 125th a sec at f16. This of course means that the Sun must be shinning. Most of the time I'll use a fill flash too.

Thank You for the tips Al! I will give it a try.I did mange to capture a Huge Moth not tooo terribly blurry and an UGLY spider lastnight. Will try it at those setting today.One question ? during bright part of day how can u set flash where it actually helps? I have a sony A-100 and I truthfully am still figuring it out.
