Nice shot, and I like the way it's looking!

A suggestion: although it's great getting close in on the bird as opposed to it being a small thing in a lake, the composition would be better if you would place the bird in the lower left corner as going by the rule of thirds.

Love the "attitude" you've captured in this, Carol! Also, personally, I like how the diagonal line of the bird from head to tail divides the frame, adding a bit more drama to this EXCELLENT shot! #3247593

Ariel - I actually took the shot the way you suggested. I cropped this down because it seemed like a lot of blank water and a little bit of bird.
