Misty morning

Uploaded: August 23, 2006

Description

Photographed at Reflection Lake, Mt. Rainier, Washington with a Nikon D100 and Nikkor 18-35mm zoom, on tripod, settings unknown. Image adjusted with color balance, saturation, levels and unsharp mask in Photoshop CS. While a morning fog ruined my view of Mt. Rainier reflected in the lake, it did provide a moody and evocative sunrise over the lake.

Thanks folks for your kind remarks. One of the great pleasures of photography is the unexpected surprises that come your way. The same fog that ruined my view of Rainier provided this image and covered the wildflowers with fine water droplets making for some lovely macro shots. #3204220
