Description

This flower looked so amazingly beautiful while the droplets of water were still clinging to the petals, I just could not resist capturing it.

Lovely capture. The bright yellow flower itself is beautiful but the water droplets make the shot. #499643

This is pretty, Patsy: but this is such a common subject that it needs to be really outstanding to attract a vote in any competition, let alone BP, where this is one of the strongest categories. The exposure is not quite right, so the water droplets don't have as much impact as they could have; the composition is lacking with the image cropped at odd points and no clear centre of focus and the point of view is a bit unimaginative.
A higher of lower point of view might eliminate that distracting background and perhaps bring that interesting stamen head into prominence. Putting a piece of neutral card of cloth behind the flower would help; so would either drawing back a little to include the whole petal(s) and maybe a bit of stem, or getting in REALLY close to eliminate all the distracting elements. #3526969
