The 5000 year old prehistoric site - a magical mystical place in England.
The rock was moved by its builders over 20 miles from where it was quaried. There were literally 100's of people all wandering arond the Stones- so taking a picture free of people was challenging. April 2006

Great presentation, Julie. so what happened to the people?lol #3134927Nadya Johnson August 07, 2006
AWESOME capture, Julie! I like this one better than the first: the stones are closer up and the details more pronounced. It is very odd how people flock by hundreds to this ancient site; and although I've never been there, I wonder if there's really something to the theory of the Ley lines and some sort of unseen power from the Earth said to emanate from such locations. They say Sedona, Arizona and the Anasazi ruins also lay at power-points (there are many on the globe) and I would have to say, there IS a strange sensation in those spots. Either way, it's a place both eerie and mysterious and I do hope to see it someday, first hand. Your photo does impart a mystery mood! Great shot! #3135277Jenny Bosmans August 08, 2006
