Ok, you've never seen me do foliage, OR B&W. So how's this for a try? #486007

well.....I don't want to be negative, but, I don't really love this. The idea is good, and the contrast is nice. But to me this is kind of flat. It's not really sharp any where, but it also doesn't have a soft focus/glow thing either. If it was me, I might do a "soft glow" look to this.
But that is just an opinion. #3042857

Thanks Rachel. I did see it as something to play around with, and sharpening slightly and B&W is all I've done. I'll try to "play" tonight and see what I can get. #3044399

I like this in B&W. Nice textures and lighting, Tricia! #3049224

Tricia you have always been so kind with you comments with my images, so this is hard, but here it goes; I would have to agree with Rachel, but for different reasons. While the perspective might be alright of a cool plant I would try it from another angle, and it actually seems out of focus; unless that is what you were intending. In which case, you should love it. All this is just a humble opinion, and is meant to be helpful. All the best. I am outta here for another late night "on the town"!!) #3049554

Hey Tricia! I like this composition and I love the b&w tones. I do agree that it is not sharp in some important areas. It sometimes works for me better in a shot like this to back up and zoom in to focus instead of shooting really close to the subject. :) #3050274

Bingo. That's the problem with the shots from this weekend. They were quick at fiance's house, I was shooting on macro with the kit lens and handheld. I NEVER do flowers that way. I ALWAYS use my tripod and 70-300 w/macro on. #3050629
