Ok, you've never seen me do foliage, OR B&W. So how's this for a try? #486007Rachel E. Slepekis July 17, 2006
well.....I don't want to be negative, but, I don't really love this. The idea is good, and the contrast is nice. But to me this is kind of flat. It's not really sharp any where, but it also doesn't have a soft focus/glow thing either. If it was me, I might do a "soft glow" look to this.Tricia L. Olson-Giles July 18, 2006
Thanks Rachel. I did see it as something to play around with, and sharpening slightly and B&W is all I've done. I'll try to "play" tonight and see what I can get. #3044399Bill Wyatt July 19, 2006
I like this in B&W. Nice textures and lighting, Tricia! #3049224Tricia L. Olson-Giles July 19, 2006
You're biased Bill. LOL! #3049447Amy JACKSON July 19, 2006
Hey Tricia! I like this composition and I love the b&w tones. I do agree that it is not sharp in some important areas. It sometimes works for me better in a shot like this to back up and zoom in to focus instead of shooting really close to the subject. :) #3050274Tricia L. Olson-Giles July 19, 2006
Bingo. That's the problem with the shots from this weekend. They were quick at fiance's house, I was shooting on macro with the kit lens and handheld. I NEVER do flowers that way. I ALWAYS use my tripod and 70-300 w/macro on. #3050629Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
