Rainy day off
Uploaded: July 05, 2006
4th of July. These guys would have had to work on the 4th, but rain gave them the day off. They are watching it from under the horse shelter, but you can tell they got wet before retreating there. It was early afternoon, heavy overcast, raining. I found it tricky trying to preserve details and yet show the rain.

Beautiful image Lynn! I love your horse photos! This image is outstanding! #478490Lynn Margason July 06, 2006
I really appreciate your encouragement, Kathy. This was taken from quite a ways away and shows how well the z3 zoom does. If I'd gotten any closer, they'd have come out into the rain to see what I was offering as an option. Even at the distance, they were watching me closely. It does my heart good to see them standing shoulder to shoulder under shelter watching the blessed rain come down! We were dry for so long, now everything is green! #2992046

Nancy, we are so grateful for the rain! That's really what I wanted to show! It's nice how something that is so needed, tends to put everything on hold for a while, bringing rest! <><Peggy, thanks for mentioning the details; I really wanted to preserve the wood, the soft leaf frame, and Buck's dripping forelock! #3013511
