Thanks, Nadine! He is back by the pool now and we see him here and there. Hopefully the leg is healing and he can live on! #2841168

Absolutely great shot! for some inexplicable reason, I'm terrified of frogs, but I hope he's healed up now. #2841185

Might be something in your childhood, Sipho... :-)

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. It's fun when one shot in fifty turns out, right?!

I almost felt guilty making him pose for me, but it turned out so well, my guilt is ebbing! #2841356

Jagadeesh Andrew Owens June 01, 2006

Well, it shouldn't be. You should be eaten alive with guilt by posing that poor, injured, hideous creature.... LOL #2841382

Leslie - I love the frog; especially the colors that surround him - a very lovely and soft feel about the whole image.
And isnt' that what photography is all about...capturing the moment and taking full advantage of it? Those special moments don't happen all that often but when they do and your camera happens to be there, so much the better. #3417527

You are so right, Debbie! I have learned to try and keep a camera handy just about all the just never know. Thanks for the nice comments on the frog photo. It was fun to try and capture him and a nice surprise when one turned out! Have a great weekend! #3418494

Great shot. Nice pose. I understand a little guilt over taking advantage of this injured frog. Let's just hope he gets better. If not, at least you got a wonderful photo of him.

1/20 s at f/6.3, Manual, 200 ISO, 72 mm. My husband found this little tree frog by the pool and he has an injured leg. He couldn't jump away! I put him in some wild flowers and I grabbed my camera and tripod. I love his front feet around the stem! Cropped in PSE4.
