Hello Birdie

I captured this guy while we were hunkered down under some shelter, waiting out a Texas spring shower. If you look closely, you can see a couple of raindrops on his head. Well, I don't KNOW it's a "he", none of us could think of what kind of bird this even was! :) I have to thank Darryl for alerting us to his presence so we could get the shot.

Great shot Richard, Dennis is exactly right it is a Green Heron. Did you see it extend its neck? It's really funny to see all that neck come out of its chest.
