Yes, fantastic image - it's as though the city is sitting on embers, glowing.Tali Kimelman July 07, 2006
Kate,Sure, I used a tripod, one of those really little ones standing on the floor of John Hancock Tower, floor 96.
f-stop: 3.5, shutter speed 1 sec. ISO 100. Focal Length 28 mm.
Post processing included levels, shadows and highlights and curves. Also a little of the lens distortion filter and finally crop. Mmmm, I think that's pretty much it.
Hope it's useful to you.

Thanks, Tali. Definitely useful. I'm sure you if you gave a print of that to the barman in the lounge on the 96th floor you'd get drinks on the house all night!Wayne T. Fisk July 09, 2006
Astounding! What lens did you use here?Tali Kimelman July 13, 2006
Wayne, I used the lens that comes with the kit. 18 - 55 mm, focal length was 28 mm. #3025016Dave Hymers July 20, 2006

Stunning! Such a sense of ponderous immobility in an image that is at the same moment graceful and light. A wonderful paradox achieved with great aplomb. I am in awe! #3530242Helen N. McHugh November 01, 2006
