"Infrared Panorama"
Uploaded: April 26, 2006
Infrared panorama of a lake a block from my house. I never included the boats because they are ugly aluminum, but with infrared they come out much different. The surreal colors are the result of camera settings (especially white balance) and color channel swapping in Photo shop CS2. I use a Hoya R72 infrared filter in combination with a circular polarizing filter. Most are shot at f/2.8 to f/8 at 28 mm. I then adjust the shutter for proper exposure, usually around 1 second. White balance is adjusted with each shot with the "PRE" setting with the filters on.
