Dreaming in Black & White
Uploaded: April 16, 2006
ISO 100, Pentax SMC Takumar 50/1.4 (M42), approx 1/2 sec @ f/5.6 (shutter opened for 1.5 secs, a book used as 'shutter', because beeping of self-timer would wake subject), image desaturated in Sigma Photo Pro raw processing software, post-processed in Picture Window Pro v3.5
My son, slumbering in the afternoon, illuminated through sheer curtains. Do people really dream in black and white?

Photos of sleeping children are always lovely, but this is especially poignant. Beautiful shot, John. By the way, browsing your gallery has me suspecting that we hail from the same area. Are you in the Seattle area? I'm outside of Olympia. #4613370John G. Clifford Jr August 10, 2007
Yes, I live on the Eastside. I dunno if it's coincidence or not but it seems a lot of Puget Sound photographers are on BetterPhoto. #4626834Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
