Sky Fire Celebration
Uploaded: March 24, 2006
f/3.9, 1/20 sec, ISO-50, Kailua-Kona Hawaii, 6:39pm on 3/16/2006. In all my years living here, this was definitely one of the most 'firey' sunsets I have witnessed. It had been hazy, cloudy and rainy for days including this day and then the sky changed and we were blessed with Sky-Fire.

Wow, Michele! Wow, wow, WOW! I could stare at this one all day. Absolutely stunning! #414574Michele Jarvis March 24, 2006
Aloha Devon. Thank you very much for the wonderful comment. I am glad you are enjoying it. There is NO editing to this photo except to add the copyright layer. This sunset literally & physically stunned me also. I stood there just feeling it and taking it in and a little voice in the head said take the picture. I have a series of 10 photos from this night and this is one of the middle ones in the series. #2570845Jaclyn Klassen March 25, 2006

Amazing colors and brilliant scene in this capture, Michele. I think a lot of mainlanders have a hard time believing we get sunsets and sunrises just like this one without having tro manipulate the colors!!
