Description

Canon Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Image Stabilizer USM Autofocus Lens on the Canon 20D. My 20D was less than one month old when this was taken in open shade with directional morning light in July, 2005. Saratoga Springs, New York. Exposure not recorded.

Thanks for your comment, Tammy.

I was looking for something/or someone to photograph after receiving my first digital camera, when this beautiful baby came by in a stroller. I have no idea of her name or who her parents are, as we were visiting friends in upstate New York at the time. But those eyes and the color of the pillows in her stroller are what drew me to her.

Open shade with directional lighting is perfect for portraits, flowers, even trees in a field. The colors pop without having strong, bright highlight or dark shadows. This is perfect lighting for most things. And, I look for it and try to use it to the best of my ability. #2619798
