We have moved along in the GOLD COUNTRY SERIES to Coloma, CA...the site of JAMES MARSHALL GOLD DISCOVERY STATE HISTOICAL PARK. This exciting concrete statue stands in front of the 1st Mercantile Store, established in 1848, where James Marshall discovered the first gold nugget which started the California Gold Rush.

A very powerful image Pat, your choice of the b&w presentation really adds to its appeal.Dan McConoughey January 19, 2006
Great image of a very strong portrait in concrete. I've seen many old images of Native Americans horses with the hand print on them. The horses were prize possessions and treated and decorated very well. You have represented this statue well with your excellent photography Pat. #2307962Kay E. Mahoney January 19, 2006
