Solar Alignment

We are often looking for the stars to align - But.... For a short period of time just before and after the Winter Solstice the sun aligns perfectly with this old iconic tree that protrudes from the creek where it meets the lake near our home - The cool morning air, a warm coffee and the natural peace available at sunrise made this a perfect start to the day!
*With lots of Duck Hunters in the area this is a long reach capture - Perspective is through 600mmm of glass. Having spent significant time in the Middle East during several "trips" without getting shot I have got to keep my streak going :-)
