Thanks for the comment Marsha. Maybe others will pick up on this and in so doing come to remember why we have Christmas. Strange, everyone gets something except the one who has the birthday. We sing happy birthday and the youngest one blows out the candle, then we give some time and something of ourselvs to our Lord. #2236530

I think your family tradition is wonderful! My sister and her family have a Christmas tradition that I think is pretty cool! Since there were three gifts given to the Christ child on Christmas morn, in her house...they each receive three gifts. Before they are presented with the gifts, they gather in the living room with their Bibles and they read the Christmas story. #2472345
