subjects unaware
Carl J. Morrison February 07, 2002
Nice job, Renzo. No flash probably kept the models unaware. I know a professional photographer who loves to set up a tripod and use a long exposure and have the models 'ghost' in the image. (http://seewald.com/images/Italy/Florence_Ghost.jpg) #3401Renzo Ballabio February 07, 2002
Hi Carl! your comments are always welcomed #5323Donna R. Moratelli February 07, 2002
Renzo,This picture would have benefited if you used an FLD FILTER. FLD is a color correction filter used under florescent lights to take out the greenish or in this case golden-green tones. I do like the composition of this photo though. It is pleasing. #5333Renzo Ballabio February 08, 2002
Hello Donna! Thanks for your suggestion. I used a digital camera, I don't know if FLD Filter fits. #5350Carl March 20, 2002
This is not so bad at all. I've seen way worse. This one can easily be corrected with photoshop. #6137Michael McCook March 27, 2002
Renzo. I don't know which camera you used but, most digital cameras these days you can set your white balance for your lighting conditions. Check out white balance in your manual. Keep up the good work. #6325Renzo Ballabio March 27, 2002
Hi Michael! I am using a FujiFinePix4700z. It has indeed "white balance". I will try. Thanks for your advice. #6327Renzo Ballabio April 06, 2002
Hi Mike! Thanks for your comments, I do really appreciate. #6592Renzo Ballabio July 22, 2002

Hi Renzo...I just "caught" this one and couldn't resist color-correcting it for you...I'm willing to bet this more closely matches what you may have originally saw in your viewfinder...Nice composition and good candid shot. #36160A. J. Perry May 26, 2019
Whoops! Looks like image didn't upload...I'll try again... #36229A. J. Perry May 26, 2019
Whoops! Looks like image didn't upload...I'll try again...Doesn't look like it's going to work...just tried to upload two more times but got the msg: HTTP500 Internet Server Error...Sorry Renzo, you'll just have to take my word for it...your shot looks great when it's color corrected. #36231

Thanks David for viewing and comments. I am glad you like the setting and tones. I appreciate. Renzo #125497Andrea Garza August 03, 2003
The color tint actually is the only thing that seems to add any type of mood or emotion to this photo. I think the idea is great, but it doesn't evoke any type of wonder or imagination for me. If you were able to capture the customer's face, perhaps with a quizzical or expressive face would make the viewer wonder about the situation. Sorry. I usually like this type of photo, but this one just doesnt do it for me. I'd love to see some of your other photos though! #156806Frank Weston November 14, 2003
I think this photo would be improved if the dead space were cropped. There is a third of the photo at the top that is black wall and ceiling that adds nothing to the photo. Ditto for the right side behind the customer's back. Cropping more tightly around the two subjects, you can preserve the sense of place with the shelves in the background and the cash register and displays on the left. Eliminating the superflous space sround the two people would make a much stronger presentation. #267173Renzo Ballabio November 14, 2003
Thank you Frank for your kind and useful suggestions, You have to know that when I took this pic that I posted I did not have any program for editing photos.Regards #267574Donna R. Moratelli November 14, 2003
Hi Renzo, I hope that you are well. Can you believe that it's been almost two years and people are still discussing this image. What a controversial shot you have made.I havn't seen anything new of yours recently. Have you posted any images into the contest recently? #267584

Hi Donna I am fine thanks. Yes, you are alright I did not think that my photo could give the start for so many discussions, and to think that I took this snap "just on the spot", not knowing what the result would be. I did not post any pic recently. I feel little down with my imagination. Thanks anyway for your comments and be well. Kind regards.
